14 night ‘Reefs & Rainforest’ Package

The ‘Reefs and rain forest’ adventure package offers 12 different day-trips combined in a 2 week vacation to satisfy the most demanding explorer. Jungle horseback riding, cave Tubing, the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) caving adventure, the world-famous Tikal Mayan temples and their once ancient rivals Caracol, swimming with sharks, manatee watching and much more.

Day 1: After your arrival at the Belize International Airport we will transfer you to the Belize Jungle Dome, where you will enjoy a free afternoon and evening . Lounge in the pool, discover the grounds, hang in the hammocks overlooking the river, just kick back and relax.

Day 2: Jungle horseback riding, where trained cowboys will guide you through the jungle terrain pointing out the flora, fauna and wildlife. Lunch and then a gentle Belize river boat rip where the birds, crocodiles, lizards, bats and monkeys all take residence.

Day 3: Early breakfast prepares you for Caracol Mayan temples. Several hours into the Mountain Pine Ridge this huge and ancient Mayan site awaits you. Explore the history and sacred Mayan traditions.

Day 4: Kayaking day-trip combining rapids with plenty of calm water. the first part of the kayaking trip includes lunch at Clarissa Falls resort where you will swim below Clarissa Falls. From there you will embark on your full-day kayaking adventure.

Day 5: Tour west for another amazing Mayan site, Xunantunich temples. Followed by lunch in San Ignacio and then a visit to the Iguana sanctuary, where you will get close and personal with these stunning creatures.

Day 6: Rest day at the Belize Jungle Dome. Relax in stunning jungle surroundings, and enjoy the wildlife, swimming pool and walks around our grounds.

Day 7: Cross the border into Guatemala to visit the Tikal Mayan temples, embarking on an adventure of a lifetime to one of the center points of the Ancient Mayan civilization. Your English speaking guide will enlighten you on the amazing history of the site, and also on the abundant flora and fauna surrounding the site. Visiting Tikal is a breathtaking experience and one you will never forget.

Day 8: River cave tubing and zip-lining adventure. You start off with the relaxing part of the trip, as you float through limestone caves and along a meandering jungle river. After lunch it is time for the exhilarating part of the trip as you zip-line from platform to platform through the jungle canopy and across a river.

Day 9: Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave, recently voted one of the world’s top ten caving adventures. Another spectacular trip into the depths of the Belize jungle. Enter the sacred caves and explore the history of this untouched Mayan site. Most of the time in the cave you will be in and out of the water, swimming, climbing, and admiring the huge selection of Mayan sacrificial tools and remains.

Day 10: Breakfast and then off to the Belize Municipal Airstrip, with a 1-hour stop at the Belize Zoo (Belize’s premier wildlife rescue center) before embarking on short, fun flight over the tropical seas to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Transfer to your beach resort to check into your lovely beach front appartment.

19186247Day 11: Snorkeling at Shark/Ray Alley where you can swim with the Nurse Sharks and Sting Rays. Incredibly fun and an easy snorkeling trip surrounded by these surprisingly friendly creatures.

Day 12: Manatee watching and beach BBQ, with an optional shopping stop at Caye Caulker.

Day 13: Hol Chan Marine Reserve. Just a short boat ride from Ambergris Caye, this national park boasts has protected status ensuring numerous fish and other marine life for a first class scuba diving or snorkeling experience.

Day 14: Activity free day. Enjoy the tropical islands of Ambergris Caye and explore its vibrant town, San Pedro. A great last day to tour the stores and browse the souvenir stalls for gifts.
